The Faculty of Pharmacy started in the year 2001 with B. Pharm. programme having an intake of 60 students. The Uttar Pradesh Technical University (presently the APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University), Lucknow selected the institute as the lone study centre for M. Pharm. (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) in the year 2004, which was approved by the AICTE in 2007. The intake in B. Pharm. programme was increased to 90 students in 2007. The B. Pharm. programme is duly approved by the PCI (approved intake of 100), and was accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for 5 years from the year 2007, and again for 3 years from the year 2024. Further, M. Pharm. (Pharmaceutics), and M. Pharm. (Pharmacology) were approved by the AICTE in 2011. The Diploma in Pharmacy programme was also introduced in the year 2018. The Faculty of Pharmacy is known for the quality of education and research, discipline, high moral values and ethics, all with a personal touch.  

• The first and the only institute in northern region to secure B.Pharm. Accreditation for 5 years by NBA, in 2007.
• The first institute to start M.Pharm. (Pharm. Chem.) in the state of U.P., in 2004.
• The first institute to co-organize a U.P. state level seminar in Pharmacy in the year 2002.
• One of the seventeen MOU's to participate in Open Innovation Drug Discovery (OIDD) with Eli Lilly company, USA (another partner's IIT, IISC etc)
• The first and only institute having constituted separate students’ and teachers’ welfare funds.
• One of the very few institutes to have received letter of appreciation from U.P. Technical University, Lucknow for one of the best I/U ratio for credible system of assessment.
• The only institute in the state of Uttar Pradesh with highly sophisticated instruments, well-equipped laboratories, animal house, rich library and highly qualified faculty members.
• The institute entrusted for the coordination and preparation of e-content for B.Pharm. course by AKTU, Lucknow.
• Prof. (Dr.) Shailendra K. Saraf, Director (Pharmacy) is the first Pharmaceutical Scientist of private sector in U.P. to be invited by the Republic of Sudan to deliver lectures at Biotech Park, Africa City of Technology, Khartoum, Sudan in 2010 and ICMAT, Suntec City, Singapore in 2011.
  He has successfully completed the prestigious Leadership for Academicians Program (LEAP) of MHRD, New Delhi in 2019 at Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai and University of Pennsylvania, USA.
  He has also achieved the CMI certification of the UK-India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI) through AICTE, New Delhi in 2020.
